A great article by Wayne Anderson ND and Connie Strasheim.

I encourage everyone to read this.

You may recognize symptoms that you or a family member are suffering from.

For instance, Babesia infection can cause POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).

My own note: Conventional medicine tends to name and blame. They would say your BP and heart rate are unstable because you have POTS. That tells you nothing about the root causes but just gives a new name to a set of symptoms. Then they would likely give you prescription drugs to try to manage all the symptoms for life.

Functional medicine looks for the root causes of symptoms. They would search for the causes and say you have unstable BP and heart rate because you have underlying infection and other issues. They would address those issues to help you recover your health.

I am bringing this article up again for May, which is Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

I encourage everyone to read it. You may recognize your symptoms.

I was misdiagnosed for 21 years because doctors were just naming the symptoms as my diagnosis, instead of looking for the root causes.
