    Over the river and through the swamp, to Grannie's condo we go;

    The palm trees sway and the kids say, "This sure as hell beats snow!"

    Over the river and through the swamp, oh how the sun does shine;

    Hooray, by golly; we'll take the trolley to the beach where it's so fine.

    Thanks, I've missed being on here but until I get this root canal, I'm too tired to spend much time online. I've been on the CFIDS/FMS board mostly.

    Take care.

    Over the Rio and onto the mesa, to abuela's adobe we go.
    The burro knows the way, but has eaten all his hay,
    and we're stuck here in the morning glow.

    Over the Sandias and through the pinons, the turkey enchiladas are getting cold.
    But with green chile aplenty and tortillas for twenty,
    Thanksgiving will never get old.

    These are great. We should have versions for different parts of the country.

    When I lived in Boulder, CO, we would have needed a different one:

    Over the river and through the greenbelt, to Grandma's solar home we arrive;

    Our fusion car has come so far, it really cheap to drive.

    Over the river and through the greenbelt, a PC feast we'll eat

    From organic yams to tofu hams, to us it tastes so sweet.

    Definition of Boulder--A small city surrounded by reality.

    You may be from Boulder if your bike costs more than your car.

    You may be from Boulder if you send your husband to pick up Granola and he goes to the daycare center to get her.

    I can joke but I wouldn't have missed growing up there for anything.
