    Hello to all,

I have just recently been to see a sleep specialist, and the first thing that he wanted me to try is Clonidine, or Catapres. It's a blood pressure medication, however he said that in small doses it helps with sleep issues.

Has any one tried this drug? If so how did it work? It's a new one on me, so I wanted to post it to the board.

Let me know if you guys have heard of it.

    Thanks, Yours, Lil

I never heard of this med and my husband has high blood pressure for years so I'm familiar with a lot of the b.p. meds. I also didn't want you to think you were being ignored! I do know that melatonin (a natural supplement) helps with sleep issues. Can you ask about that? I don't know your history and there may be a good reason he wants to experiment with this. Good luck!
