GB and Diane are taking a sabbatical to recharge their batteries. Hope they are
soon returned. Here's a new game to welcome them back.

Songs with a negative in the title or lyrics: Can't, Won't, No, Never, etc.

Don't let the stars get in your eyes. Don't let the moon break your heart. A
    Perry Como favorite.

I Won't Dance. Sung and danced by Fred Astaire in the movie "Roberta".

They Can't Take That Away From Me. Also sung, but not danced, by Fred. The
song was written by George Gershwin and his lovely wife Ira.

    The 12th of Never.

Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen.

Why Can't You Behave? From Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate. Here's a clip
from the film with the great Ann Miller and Tommy Rall. Tommy was
in lots of movie and Broadway musicals including Seven Brides for Seven
Brothers. The ending of this number had a special kind of impact on the
audiences who saw it in 3D.

Hi Diane, Good to hear from you.

I Ain't Got Nobody. Recorded by Bing Crosby.
Nobody Loves You When You're Down and Out.
All Dressed Up With Nowhere to Go.

Side By Side. "Oh, we ain't got a barrel of money...Don't know what's
coming tomorrow." Recorded by lots of people including Patsy Cline,
Kay Starr, Guy Mitchell, and Pat & Shirley Boone.

Guy Mitchell also recorded Well, I Never Felt More Like Singing the Blues.
Don't Rain on My Parade from Funny Girl.

Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey? This song is older than the airplane.
But younger than the telephone. It is a versatile song, however, as it can
be sung in an airplane or over the telephone.

Do Not Foresake Me, Oh, My Darling aka The Ballade of High Noon.
From the movie. Sung by Tex Ritter (John's Father). Music by
Dimitri Tiomkin who was a film composer from Russia. Tiomkin won
4 Academy Awards; one for this song.

DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON ME, Elton John, 1974

This video is Elton & George Michael, live. One of my faves!

    Still thinking about other songs.......

Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue. They Can't Take That Away From Me.
I Never See Maggie Alone. Comic song from the 20s.

No Help Wanted and T'aint Nice to Talk Like That. Country hits in the 50s.
Nobody Does it Better. Carly Simon hit from a James Bond movie.

When the Grass Grows Over Me. 'Don't expect to hear me say that I'll
still love you then.' A great country tune written by Tammy Wynette
    and/or one of her husbands.

Once A Day. "The only time I wish you weren't gone..."

Old Man River. "Getting no rest till the judgement day. He don't
say nothing." (Double credit here for the double negative.)

    her movies.
