I saw this on a game show this week and thought we might like to play.

Post the definition of a word that begins and ends with the letter 'e', and the rest of us try to guess what the word is.

Example: A flat paper container would be 'envelope'.

Good one Rock! You are claiming the gold medal :D

Here's what's left for the silver medal up to now:

    3. A condition of being well known and successful
    7. A preview or way of expressing what you mean
    8. A pokemon
    10. A seven letters international sounding man's name
    11. A famous male comedy movie actor's first name
    12. Pleasant
    16. A concealing or darkening

Still breaking my head about number 3... bit confused about the condition OF.... somehow mixing that up with for but that's different... So first theres the well known and successful and then the condition... but then would it still be a condition... I'm probably way overthinking it all and will be an AHA moment once solved :p

    Hi Folks

3 Might be eminance. I was looking for an adjective like eminent or esteemed.
16 might be ensconce. Found that on the net. The only kind of sconce I
ever heard of before was a light fixture.

Gotta go see about the laundry.

OK, back. Gordon has to do much of the work around this ranch nowadays.
I can't lift and carry anymore. But I used to do the laundry and the dishes
all the time, 'cause I was working half time, and he had a full time job.

Things even out if you live long enough. Although you'd probably have to
live a couple thousand years for everything to even out.

Hi everybody ......... WOW, GREAT GAME!

I wasn't on the computer this weekend, and now I see that most of the clues have been solved. I cannot guess at the others! Too difficult for me. Thanks for keeping the updated list, Soul!

    Here are some more clues:

    34 A dueling sword
    35 A female sheep
    36 Break free
    37 Gradually wear away
38 A somewhat bitter plant used in salads
    39 To breathe out
40 ... A fun one to ponder (a song) ... Total _______ of The Heart

Have fun! I remembered these from the crossword games over the years.

    Hugs all! DIANE

    Hi Kids

Hard for my addlepated brain to keep all this straight. But I've given
up being a perfectionist (pretty much) so it doesn't matter.

30 Lift might be elevate. In England, anyway, a lift is an elevator.
34 A dueling sword is an epee. See this one in the crosswords sometimes.
35 Female sheep. Ewe. Crossword clue is sometimes "meadow mama".
    36 Break free. Escape.

    37 Wear away. Erode.
    38 Salad green. Endive.
    39 Breath out. Exhale.
40 Song. Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Patti and GB, Yup, ya got the ones I posted. Well done.

    Hugs
    Rock
