    Hi there;

    For the past five months I've been experience pain, dryness and redness in the inside corner of my right eye. It doesn't look too pretty and the only thing that seems to clear it up is steriod eye drops.

    My family Dr doesn't like me taking this, so he's booked me to see a specialist in May. (I've been waiting 4 months for this appt!)

    I can't remember where I saw it but it mentioned a link between eye problems and thyroid issues. My eyes are not bulging out like you get with Graves disease.

    Has anyone else experience eye problems with low thyroid?

    Eileen

    I have Hashimotos and also Sjogrens, which attacks mosture producing glands. I am on eye steroids due to severe dryness. I am not saying that you have sjogrens, but you may want to look into it as Sjogrens can cause Hashimotos, dry eye, dry mouth and many other ailments. Even with Sjogrens, not everyone has all of the symptoms or even all the same as someone else that has it. It really varies from person to person.

    You can do a search on the web and find lots of info on it. I hope you don;t have it, but if you do, its best to know and treat it.

    Good luck to you.
