About my EMG......

    When the neurologist gave me this test it was not how many of you have described it with "needles" poking you. I believe he had straped something to my hands and sent electronic waves through my hands, I believed this test was only done to me to rule out carpal tunnel.
    Since this was one of the issues for my LTD denial, I wonder if any one can help me out .

    I'm really confused.

    That sounds like the nerve conduction test. I had that and the EMG on the same day. The EMG was the painful one. The one you described above was at worst, only a little uncomfortable, sort of like hitting your funny bone.

    yes Karen,

    you're exactly right it was uncomfortable but not painful . I'm going to have to find out why they are mentioning EMG in my denial letter since I never had one.
    I'm going to call the neurologist and ask him.
