Just curious as to how many have tried accupuncture, for what symptoms and did it help?
I went for the first time on Wednesday...degenerative disc. Nothing yet. Actually a little worse. I will try again 2 more times before I give up.
    Anyone else? Thanks! Mary

I tried it for cfs basically to stop feeling like I was dying. I didn't care so much about having no energy as I did about being tortured all the time. It worked about 1 out of every 3 times really well. I felt so good, I did too much and crashed usually within a day. That was before I knew about crashing, what it was and that you had to rest to not let it happen. I kept trying to be normal. I actually ended up with better results with the chiropractor. It worked every time and was alot cheaper.

Now I'm seeing a chiropractor and an acupressurist and they are just phenomenol with what they can do. Every session really gets the energies flowing and really makes my day. The second the chiro pops my neck and relieves the pressure on my vagus nerve, I feel better right then. That nerve has alot to do with how your body feels.

    best wishes

I went to a specialist D.O. for an ear infection, dizziness and tinnitis. I felt very relaxed yet not sleepy afterwards.

The chinese has practiced it for over 3000 years. It can't be bogus!

There are lots of posts on this here if you do a search.
I have been geting acupuncture for several years and for a while, it was the only thing that helped. It still does help, although I am trying some other things as well now. I found it helps with pain, energy and it relaxes me. You will need to experiment as to how often you need to go.

I understand what you mean about not being tortured all the time! I belive my fibro started due to a quack chiropractor. I had seen some in the past and it helped getting the blood flowing. But the last one I saw just tortured me! And like an idiot, I kept going back until I could not walk. So good for you! If it had not been for this bad expierance, I deffinatly would go back.
Now on top of it all, I have 3 blown discs. Not sure if accupuncture will help or not. Anything to escape "the knife". Good luck and great health to you! Mary
