I have definite FMS, probable CFS....end of May, I developed numbness and tingling in my face...

Seems to move around alot. Have it alot in my chin and lips.

PCP diagnosed (over the Phone) as stress (do you believe that?)

Went to neurologist. He did MRI - said brain is MS, no tumor, no aneurysm, no stroke. Blames it on FMS

Went to pain doc - she said FMS

Went to dentist...had deep filling come out - told him about numbness. He said my lymph nodes in neck area were tender, as if fighting infection, however my tooth was not infected.

I truly don't think this numbness is FMS. Where do I go next?

I've read that about 1/4 of Fibro patients do have numbness and tingling. I don't know if you've read that or not.

Do these symptoms happen more often around your period or ovulation? If so they might be hormonal.

I hope you find an answer.

You could pursue the infection. If your PCP is not willing, you could go to an infectious specialist. And to be thorough, you could check with an endocrinologist.

When my FM was "spreading" I also felt like I had dental pain, deep in the lower jaw/ear/neck. I went to the dentist and nothing was found. Once again - FMS. Got a new med and felt better.

Its amazing what this disease can do to you. I've had it 5 years and find I keep explaining it over and over and over to those close to me.

I would consider the possibility of tick borne disease as the cause of your symptoms.....

Please check out the symptom list on pages 9-11 of this very informative paper....

After 21 years with a FMS diagnosis I discovered that the cause of all those symptoms is tick borne disease.

    It happens alot.
