    Hi all,
I finally can say good things about my problem with FM.

I have been suffering so long, I began to think that pain was normal.

I have been seeing a Chiropractor, who in 3 weeks has made my world happy and comfortable for the first time in years. I still have discomfort, but nothing like before. I know that I will still have good times and bad times with FM, but now I have someone who understands how to treat FM.

Also I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea. I just found out that many people with FM have sleep apnea. I now use a CPAP machine when sleeping, and once again I feel like I have a clear mind, energy, and a reason for living.

I only write this to give you some hope and some information that I think is worth knowing.

I wish for all of you......that you find a way to cope, get help and become a part of the world again.....if you know what I mean.

Hello, welcome to the board. It is good to hear when others find help and are feeling good. Its always uplifting and gives many of us hope too.

I also found help, its all in supplements, mostly from Pro Health. There are ways to get help, we just need to find what works for us, as we are all so different with treatments.

Again, thank you for your post, and hope we hear from you often.

    Shalom, Shirl

There are days when things are looking up here also. Once I got past the point of adrenal insufficiency with the Prednisone I started ironically, to feel better. I still take 5mg. early each morning. There have been a few times I've had to go to 6 or 7 but after being on 10 to 20mgs. maintenance for 6 years, thats not bad! I have not been successful at going below the 5mg. but I am beginning to look human again!

Now, if I could improve my cognitive abilities, I wouldn't complain so much I suppose.

Now, there are two of us who are learning ways, treatments et al. where we can go forward with hope. Love CactusLil'

I hope your imporvement continues. Did you have a sleep study to dx the apnea? I suspect I have it now, but already had a sleep study back in 1988 and doubt insurance would cover another.

Thanks for posting. Glad you are feeling better.

What type of specialist prescribed a sleep study or was it your pcp?

Is that something that insurance will pay for?
    thank you
    best,
