I often get sore throats and colds. I had allergy tests and am allergic to dust and dust mites. I have heard from a few friends that allergy shots really helped them/their kids. The allergist thinks it may even help fibro symptoms.
Any thoughts? I know I overreact to meds so am a little concerned, but would love to get sick less often.
    Thanks so much.

I had allergy shots for a couple years back in the 70s. They had no effect.

Now I just rely on OTC stuff. Buy it cheap at Costco or Wal*mart.

The best thing is rain. It washes the pollen and dust outta the air.

This is the first time that I have heard that allergy shots may help fibro!!

I have two of my children who took allergy shots when they were young that it has really helped. They are adults now and still have allergy problems, but were much improved from their childhood.

They also took allergy meds in addition to the shots. In fact, my 18 mo old grandson has allergies that keep him sick all the time, and he is too young for shots, but is on Clariton daily.

I hope they help your allergy symptoms as well as help your fibro!! If they helped your fibro, I think everyone on here with allergies would start taking shots!! LOL

    Good luck!
