Hi, I'm Dennis and the main carer for my Wife Ivy who was diagnosed with Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia in 2006, over the past 12 months she has been having seizures about every 5/6 weeks, sometimes the Paramedics have taken her to hospital but the last time, last Thursday 28th, she stayed here. the question I would like to ask of members is, after the seizures Ivy sleeps quite a long time and then, when awake, she seems much more alert and some speech is very clear, from then on she chatters constantly and has very restless nights with conversations with who knows who. has anyone had the same experience of this. Cheers Dennis.

Bless you for caring for you wife. We have an Alzheimers Board here where someone may be able to help you. It doesn't get a lot of traffic but you can get there by going to the upper left-hand corner of this page. Sending hugs and a prayers.

    Love, Mikie

Welcome to the board. I have Alz myself, but have not experienced any
    seizures.

If you go to the upper right hand corner you can use the search window
for Alz and seizures. You will get 125 responses. These are posts from
previous years. Perhaps the info will still be relevant.

You can also go to the research library (top of the Page) and search there.

    Good luck
