Bluebird suggested an anagram song game. It sounds like an intriguing idea! We could post the title of the song and scramble each of the words. Then the other posters could unscramble them.

Example: LUBE UDESE OESHS . What do you think? GB

    Hey, GB

A big hit when I was in High School. Recorded by Elvis, Buddy Holly and Carl
Perkins. It was Carl who wrote it.

I never did have any Blue Suede Shoes, but I did have a pair of white bucks. I have
no pics of same, but I feel sure I must have looked really cool in them.

You can do anything but lay off of my Blue suede shoes.

OK, this one was popular when I living in Las Vegas. That was back in the
60s. Seems a century or two ago.

    Rowbains era ni lytes.

Climb Every Mountain. Gypsy Love Song. On Top of Old Smokey.

And, as Julie Andrews said, "Of course you can say it backwards, but that's a bit much."

Rainbows Are Back in Style is one of those jolly tunes with
no pretensions. Listen to Slim Whitman sing it on Youtube.
The version posted by Orvil Morris has lots of pretty rainbow

I can't get rid of the bold type. There, the board's computer did it
    sua sponte.

    Ese oyu altre.

    Hi all!

    Great idea for a game!

GB, I'm very very curious. How long did it take you to come up with:

    "S u o i c o d i l a i p x e c i t s i l i g a r f i l a c r e p u s"

I can't even spell it when it's not an anagram!!!! LOL LOL LOL

I'll have to think about some song titles to post.

    Fun thread!

    inDae (get it??) LOL :p

PS: Now I'm laughing even harder, when I saw how Rock signed off on his post. :)

Well, we gamers just keep rolling along, don't we. I love the way we entertain ourselves on here! :)

Diane, to post that word, I had to type in the first few letters in my search engine and then find the entire word, then I left it in the search and copied it backwards. Even doing that, I kept making mistakes and having to start over.

I didn't dare scramble the letters, I get a headache just thinking about it!

I'm expecting 'tager inghst' on this thread! I'll look for that song on Youtube, Rock.

    OOH, I got ONE!

What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life (north and south and east and west of your life .........). I'm familiar with Barbra Streisand singing this song.

    Hooray, I solved one!

Ps: I'm still working on your prior post: 'tager inghst'. I *see* GREAT, but the second word stumps me! LOL

I'm sitting here humming that Barbra song myself. It'll probably be stuck in my head for awhile. :) BG

    I got TWO!!!!

    Only the Lonely

    At the Hop!

I *think" those are the correct answers!!

    Hi Dar

I put all the scrambled titles into one declarative sentence. Only the Lonely can
read The Book of Love while they shed A Little Bitty Tear At the Hop. I
remember dancing to all of those except the Burl Ives song which was a
big hit half a century ago.

Here are two long titles. Both written by a fellow Minnesotian. I had a pizza
with him and a couple friends at The Inn of the Purple Onion in St. Paul.
That was also half a century ago.

And here's a little clue since those titles are so long. His name is Landyobb.

OK, I got Bob Dylan, and Mr. Tambourine Man.

I cannot figure out the other one!!!

    Hi Diane

Thanks. Looks like we were doing it simultaneously. Great graphic.
I remember when poodle skirts were the latest thing. Remember pop it
beads? I think they were a fad a few years earlier.

Very good. You got two outta three. Sorry, I can't give you any help with
the title, but I'm blowing you a little kiss. SOL

    Blowing in the wind!

    Love this game!

Das ist sehr gut, Dar, as my German grossmutter might have said. Here are
two country classics although county and classic are probably an oxymoron.

"Oxymoron" reminds me of Bugs Bunny's famous quote: What a maroon!"

    Fall sour w.

    Toon brosel.

To give you guys a little help, I am humming these tunes for you.

Gordon has been struggling with the overhead light fixture in the kitchen for the
last two days. He finally called his former boss's hubby who is a plumber, etc.
So Danny came over, climbed up on the ladder, and put the flourescent tubes
in place. Same thing Gordon's been doing. They immediately lit up! Ain't that
the way life goes all too often!

One is "Four Walls", Rock, but could you hum a bit louder? I can barely hear you! :)

Okay, here's a guess, Is it that great country classic "Loner Boots". Now, if it's not that, it ought to be.

It goes something Iike this: "Since you left me baby I just walk the floor, these loner boots are making my feet very sore. la la la, la, la Loner boots, loner boots make my lonely heart hurt more. (twang twang )
