And Lo The Night Had Gone

The day had gone; alone and weak
I groped my way within a bleak
    And sunless land,
The path that led into the light
I could not find! In that black night,
    God took my hand.
He led me that I might not stray,
And brought me by a new, safe way
    I had not known.
By waters still, through pastured green
I followed Him-the path was clean
    Of briar and stone.
The heavy darkness lost it's strength,
My waiting eyes beheld at length
    The streaking dawn.
On, safely on, through sunrise glow
I walked, my hand in his, and lo,
    The night had gone.

I posted this for those who may have had a rough night. Have you ever noticed, that to hold someones hand you have to drop what's in your own...What is in your hand today? Fear? Pain? Worry?...let it go and take his hand, he will lead you threw it.
    Have a great day,

The poem was not mine, just the after thought and it comes from experience. I hope you read the second one too.
Welcome to the board, there are so many things to be gained her and the other boards as well. It's also nice to give back so I am glad my post helped in someway or somehow.

Takesha. I loved the poem. I too know from experience the truth of it to be real.

Right now, it's nearly 3am. I've been in more pain physically than usual, but I think yours is the last post I'll be reading (appropriately enough)....I finally feel like I'll be able to sleep.

I'm going to copy and paste the poem tomorrow so I can have it at hand. God bless.

    Love and blessings
