My docs have not helped much. Anyone have a good specialist between Richmond and DC?? Closer to Spotsylvania/Fredricksburg the better. Also, know a shrink with Fibro knowledge? Appreciate any help. Thanks, LJ

To the board LJ, sorry I am not in your area, but if you will go to the good doctor list at; http://www.co-cure.org/Good-Doc.htm You may find one in your area.

Also someone maybe on the board to share with you too.

    Again, welcome to the board.

    Shalom, Shirl

I went to Dr.N. Stahl,in Woodbridge-supposed to be one of best in D.C. area.I din't like his personalty(could just be me). Also din't give me anything for pain except arthritis med.,of course din't healp.
My PCP sent me to Dr. A. Nagia,a pain managment spec. also in Woodbridge ,he put me on a lot of meds.,but feeling sooo! much better.
    Good-luck!

    Thanks Epicurean,

It's NOT just you!! I like most people, get along fine, but he's a jerk, no bed-side manner. I'm trying to replace him.

let me know how you make out finding new "rheumy".
And I thought it was me-glad to know someone else has same opinion of him also.

    To Epicurean,

He said "If I can exercise, you can exercise." You don't know how mad that made me. I love to exercise. When I'm not, something is really wrong. He is supposed to have empathy...because everything is wrong with my body right now. I feel better knowing it's not just me being oversensitive. Thanks, best to you, too.

My doc is not a rheumy, but he's really good. I tried the other route and was told he didn't believe in CFIDS and if I had FMS he couldn't do much to help me. That was after waiting 6 weeks to see him, including two after he cancelled our first appointment.

If you don't find any one closer mine is in Reston, which I realize is not near Fredericksburg, or Spotsylvania county. But he's really good, knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, well-respected by other medical professionals. You get the picture. Let me know if you'd like more info. Actually he is on the co-cure good doc list that Shirl mentioned. I didn't see anyone else near you so I figured I'd mention him.

    Good luck.

Thanks for replying. Who didn't believe in it? Are you refering to Stahl as the "other route"? What kind of doc is your? I'm interested in the name, but my lawyer says to see a specialist right now for my SSD case. I need a good shrink, too. I just lost mine, since he lost his license which is a shame, as he was sweet and helpful...just made a rather serious mistake. So, any good shrinks who know fibro???
