Ginger ale usually works for me along with soda crackers (Saltine crackers). Stay away from milk and dairy products.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.

Mix 1/2 Tsp. of Baking Soda fully disolved in a glass of water.

Also if you could get a bottle of Cola syrup from your drug store it works great for nausea. Take 1 Tsp.

    Hope you feel better soon!

book of home remedies also recommends the above. Ginger or Pepppermint tea has a calming effect on the stomach.

If you're hungry light carbs: soda crackers or toast.

    Soft drinks also help some.

    Don't more; lie down.

Try acupresssure. Press w/ your thumb on your forearm, about two thumb-widths above the crease of your wrist for a minute. The move your thumb a little closer to your wrist and repeat.

Then switch sides and do again.

I usually drink 7-up or I take a product made by
"Enzymatic Therapy" called "Peppermint Plus". It is "Enteric coated" consisting of natural plant extracts.

It is worth having a bottle at home and a few placed in a container for your purse or pocket for when nausea hits you when you are away from home.

Stay away from anything that contains aluminum as an ingredient.

The "Peppermint Plus" is worth the price. I paid $12.76 for 60 softgels.

    Love and hugs,
    Hope you feel better,

it could very well be from the withdrawl of effexor. I'm having it too.

Doctors book of home remedies also recommends Dramimine (for motion sickness) and also Emetrol works great but the taste might keep you from being able to keep it down. I find it ironic that something for nausea tastes so bad it makes you throw up much of the time!

    Hope you feel better!
