Anyone have xmas cookie recipes they would like to share?
These sound goooooooooood!! Anyone else?
Robin, you will love this site, it is awesome and has so many recipes for cookies, candy, etc..... for Xmas.
Thanks ConfusedinPA and Mickey.
I don't think you can beat good old butter cookies. Tho I don't use real butter because it doesn't bake as well as margarine. I always roll them thin and use cookie cutters. You can frost them or sugar them, and their just hard to beat!
1c. soft margarine
3 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
roll out, cut and place on baking sheet
bake 400 for 10-15 min. depending on where you live.

I made these a few weeks ago and brought them into the office. Everyone seemed to really like them.
== The Best Sugar Cookies ==
I used vanilla paste (from Trader Joe's) instead of vanilla extract. Also, instead of rolling out the dough and cutting out shapes, I rolled a small amount into a ball, then flattened it with the bottom of a glass. I baked them at 350 for about 10 minutes.
== Sugar Cookie Icing ==
I used orange extract/essence instead of almond for the icing.
I better get baking!!!! These all sound so good! I love the northpole site. I was playing the games on it last night! It was fun! I'll show it to my grandson this weekend, he'll love it!
You guys are great!!! Robin
