    Hello,

I don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but I have been experiencing these jerky body movements in my neck or just in general. If I am talking on the phone or to someone in person, I suddenly get really short of breath and my body starts to shake and become spastic or jerky. The only thing that helps is to lay down and let my body rest before I can get up again.

I am freaking out thinking I have something really wrong with me as I had an MRI and they found a calcification in my cellebrum. Supposedly it's nothing but I can't help but wonder if it is causing these symptoms. WIll be seeing a neurologist soon. Sigh...

I don't know what they are, but I get concerned they could be a type of seizure or any number of things and your doctor or neurologist should know ASAP.

It does make sense to me. I have a form of dystonia that when it hits my diaphragm causes me to be short of breath. My muscles constrict like crazy - my right hand especially can end up looking like a claw and it hurts. Sometimes they go body wide. Mine start from touch or position. I have an appt. with a movement disorder specialist in Dec.

I also have myoclonic jerks that happen before I fall asleep and can be rather violent and that causes shortness of breath.

You're the first person I've chatted with that had something somewhat similar and I've had these for 11 years.

    Hope you find some answers.
