    Hi everyone!

I read that itchy skin was one of the symptoms of FM & Yeast Overgrowth. Every night I get chilled and my back starts to itch and I get a rash. Once I warm up and the itching stops the rash goes away.

    Is anyone experiencing this?
    Any ideas?
    Advice?

    Thanks

I get the dry feeling, itchy, skin, can't handle the cold well, with numb fingers and toes, but no rash.

The itchiness is just my pain med side effect... no big deal, but no rash either (unless I go nuts scratching, it doen't get red).

I get a generalized itching and at least in my case it
could very well be my liver problems as well as any
other cause! It's not on the "skin" per sec as more
of a "subliminal" thing. Benadryl or another anti-hist.
is good for that yet I would discuss it with a Doc to
see if maybe you can pin point a cause.(?)

When it comes to a variety of "manifestations", these ill-
nesses are like the Bob Barker of diseases.

I have always experienced itching whenever I get cold...especially my legs, feet, arms and hands.

I turn red and then get incredibly itchy.

    Hi Terrys,

Sounds similiar to what I'm going through.

Any idea what it is? What have you done for it?

Sorry you're going through all of that. Those symptoms sound like the ones on the list they gave me for Yeast Overgrowth. You may want to check that out. It can be very toxic and painful.

Luckily, it can be controlled and you can actually begin to feel better.

    Hi,

I was taking Claritin every day for a few weeks and the first few days I was okay but then I still got the itching at night. So antihistimine isn't cutting it for me.

I would love to know why I only get it when I get cold. I find that I'm needing to dress real warm otherwise the itching starts.

    Thanks for all the info!

    HI,

I thought it may be the meds but I looked into that and even had bloodwork done to rule out other things... nothing.

Still looking for answers on this one!

    Thanks.

I get the itching around the same time at night. Now that I'm on the yeast/sugar free diet I'm noticing it more often.

Next doctor visit is going to be full of questions! lol

Do you use anything for the itching?

    Thanks

I am very yeasty. I try to take nystatin regularly. But lately, I have started having itchy skin in the evening. I am going to ask my doc if I can take the med that I take for RLS during the day.

Yes, I have itching. I now take a small dose of prescription drug Zyrtec which helps. Sometimes (I have been told) itching is caused from prescription pain meds (which I take). But I have read that people with fibro have itchie skin and rashes.

Yea, sure seems that you've done the research on this
one. Sorry u haven't been able to pinpoint anything yet!
That being cold thing is interesting. Have ya had a "Li-
ver Panel" blood test done? I know that liver problems
can cause it as well. Get my itching anytime but espec.
    at nite!

    Have a good weekend!

    Good morning!

I get bloodwork done every time I go to the doctor which is once every 3 months with the Rheumatologist. I'm now seeing a Fibromyalgia Specialist and my next appointment is on the 23rd. I'll ask her.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll let you know what happens.

    Enjoy your weekend!
