Does anyone remember me talking about my son possibly having MS? Well, they did another round of tests (mri, nerve, etc) and still no signs of lesions on MRI.

His neurologist is getting him into UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas to see a "moving disorders specialist". He currently is on 1 mg of Klonopin and 1000 mg of Depacote, reduced from 1500. Matter of fact, he dosed off during the MRI and his neck jerked and hit the wall of the machine.

This has been so frustrating for him and all of us. But, I thought maybe someone here might have it or know someone that does. His neurologist mentioned it could me Myoclonus, but sending him to this neurologist in moving disorders would be the best course at this time to try to pin down a dx.
    Thanks ahead for any input.

I don't know what myoclonus is but I have a similar "moving disorder" of the head. Please keep us posted when you find out what the problem is. Thanks bunches.

Blessings to you and your son...Wanda

My medical illnesses book describes myoclonus as a nervous system abnormality with a number of causes, but also can have no apparent cause. Its title is Epilepsia Partialis Continua. It is usually diagnosed with an EEG and treatment is normally anti convulsant meds. I also suffer jerks for which there has been no diagnosis despite EEG & MRI. I was told I had a slight calcification on the brain but nothing to worry about??? My left leg drives me mad sometimes and today when I am not well my arms are jumping when I lie down. It's a damn nuisance but doesn't bother me otherwise. I am not taking any meds for it as yet. Hope this helps, Love Ozgran.
