I checked the list on the site and only one MD is listed for SC and it is hours away and not on my PPO. I'm in Greenville, SC - anyone know any MD's that are fibro friendly and actually believe it exists?

Hi - I don't know which doctor list you looked at, but when I moved recently I searched "co-cure" on Google. It'll take you to a link that has a "Good Doctor List" - you can go to the list, go to SC, and there are two in Greenville, SC. You can also Google "FMS doctors" and the top link will offer the link I mentioned above with the list. Hope this helps - good luck!! ~Jane

Thanks for your responses. I still haven't been able to find a reputable MD. My PCP believes in Fibro and that I definitely have it, but he's kind of hit a wall as what else to do as I've been getting worse lately. I found one MD claiming to be a "Specialist" with Fibro & CFS - he didn't do much but put me thru a bunch of painful tests, confirm I had it, and charge me several thousands of dollars. I've talked with others that had been to him - its the same routine every time. No new info or treatment and patients in pain with empty pockets.

shew...took me awhile to (re)find this post. I haven't been here regularly lately but as I am also in the G'ville SC area it caught my eye. Would love to talk to all of you sometime and compare notes on the docs in the area. There is one doc on the good doc list in g'ville...however he needs to be on the crap doc list!!!!!!!!!!!!
hope i'll get to speak with some of you guys soon.

I noticed that this thread is four years old but I am desperate to find a Dr. for my mother who lives near Greenville. I don't feel like she is getting the right treatment and today was told that she has mild dementia. I think most of her memory problems are caused by the fibro-fog but would like to get her to a better Dr. Does anyone have any newer suggestions for me? I had heard of a Dr. Josette Johnson at Piedmont Arthritis Clinic. Have any of you ever been to her?
