You live in Asheboro?? I live in Trinity NC. I am 20 minutes from Asheboro. I couldn't afford $2,000.00 to go to a doctor. I am currently seeing 4 doctors and I am hoping that will secure my SSD. What do you think?? What is this place in Charlotte. Can you give me some more info. Have you gotten approve for disability benefits?? What have you been diagnosed with?? We are very close to one another.

    Thanks,
    Angie

I live in Statesville, NC just approx. 35 miles from Winston Salem going south on Interstate 40. I have recently in the past year started seeing Dr. Wodecki at Carolina Specialty Care Pa
124 Sunset Hill Drive, Statesville, NC 28625

I wasnt happy with my family doctor so I am now going to his wife for family care who is also on staff there.

I have found him to be very thorough and have been pleased with his care.

    Angie,

I'm from Salisbury, NC but I really can't help you with the doctor question. I go to my PCP who is very understanding and helpful but is not a specialist in CFS/FM.

Reply anytime, I check in every couple of days on the board.

Trinity, NC is my home town. I now live in greensboro and go to UNCG. I have a pretty good medical team. They are all a part of the Moses Cone Health center.

Dr. Shali Deveshwar-Rhumetologist (diagnosed me with FMS)
Dr. Kimberly Shelton- Internist (gives me proper pain meds, currently on Fentanyl Patch and Viccodin)
Dr. Carmen Dohmeier-Neurologist ( has worked tirelessly at finding a reason behind numbness in my extremeties and is an amazing doctor)

I will soon be going to Wake Forest for a second opinion on progressive numbness. I also will be seeing a endocrinologist and a gasterointerologist by referance. Check out Wake Forest, they have the biggest Neuromuskular center in NC. I'm not saying that these doctors are perfect, but they have helped me tremedoulsy. All three of them are willing to sit down with me as long as it takes to get answers in an appt.

Anyway, it's a small world huh? I wish you the best of luck in finding the best care and relief.

    No day but Today.

My diagnoses are hypogammaglobulemia, asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, liver problems my PCP has set me up an appt. with a GI doctor to find out why my liver enzymes keep going up from week to week (as they are always checking my blood).

I haven't been diagnosed with CFS but I think that I might have it, I have addressed this with my PCP, but she is so concerned with me not being able to get rid of these infections aht when I asked her she said let me check on that later.

I did see a poster in the exam room at my infectious disease doctor about CFS, so when I go back to him in a coulple of weeks I am going to ask him to check me for it. He is the one that is treating my hyogammaglobulemia (which is the reason I can't fight infections, I have low IGG level) which is the reason my body can't fight infection.

I really appreciate you responding to my post.

    Thanks,
    Angie

Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with Wake Forest, as I just had my sinus surgery there and that is where my otolaryngologist is located. Very good doctors/specialist there.

Good luck with your doctor visit there, I pray that they can help you.

    Thanks,
    Angie

I didn't realize Galax was that close to W.S. I am sorry wasn't pleased with your Doctor there. I have never been to any doctor there but my otolaryngologist.

It is fun shopping in W.S though.

    Thanks,
    Angie
