    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else is getting spots of light in their vision.

It looks like lightning bugs sometimes, and others its bluish color.

Sometimes after dark it can look like a light show.Spots all around.

So tell me; Is this normal with CFS & Fibro????

I see silver "star's" when turning my neck a certain way, say when I shave under my arm's.

My physical therapist said it is a nerve being pinched, and cutting off oxygen for a moment. It stop's after I straighten my neck again.

don't know if that help's, but that's my experience.;)

I would ask your doctor or p.t.

    best wishes,

This is mentioned in the book Osler's Web as going with CFS. There was one guy in the book who saw 'sparklers comming out of people's heads.'

I had this symptom for several months in 2002, then not again.

I was seeing spots of light and went to the opthamologist. He said I had a posterior vitreous detachment (not sure what this is). But I was lucky, because these symptoms are also the same for retinal detachment, which is a serious emergency, and you'd need surgery immediately or you could go blind in that eye!

It can be a sign retinal detachment, so do not just assume it is due to CFS or Fibro. I did have retinal detachment about 10 years ago so I know a little abou it.

It can also be a result of a migraine headache.

I also used to get them sometimes without the headache pain. The doctor called it a benign migraine.

    Get it checked out!

I often see sudden little flashes of light that disappear; my GP said they are mini visual migraines, but I think they're connected to the CFS/FMS.
