I have been getting this very odd symptom of a hot face almost like it is burning along with my ears. Sometimes I get a little sweaty. Any thoughts? Could it be related to CFS?

Reminds me of when I ate at an authenic Thai restaurant! Super hot. A single pea did that to me.

Ummm, some Asians are allergic to alcohol, and get a red face, etc, when have a drink.

MSG allergies, or tricylic meds together with some foods can cause a similar reaction.

Anyway, sounds a bit like an allergy.

    Good luck, your mr bill

Face soap? or facing washing towels with detergent?

Trying to remember where I heard of it, but I guess someone had washed towels in a detergent that was allergic to.
Everytime face got warm, then they would put a wet cold towel on face.....'course, making worse.

Someone on chit chat board was asking a similar question a couple weeks ago.

I am not on any meds my temp is normal finally after 3 y rs. but it just feels hot and prickely..nothing in my bloodwork. The drs of course don't know what to check but I wonder if it is just sensory. It is happening almost every day now though and it is so annoying. I don't wipe my face on a towel but that was a good idea.

I don't post on this board much anymore, but I do remember from awhile back and wondered how you fared after you left the board for awhile. I felt so bad for you because you were so young and thinking about a family.

I have this burning feeling, too. It's down my arms, back, neck, face, ears, and scalp, and it rotates.

    I get sweaty, too.

After 7 1/2 years of relapsing/remitting, CFS, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease through the Igenex western blot.

Doxycycline treatment 200mg twice daily has helped me a great deal in feeling better. I suspect I may have babesia, a coinfection, too, that prevents me totally from getting well. I am contemplating getting taking the meds for that.

Find your self a Lyme Disease specialist. Lyme can be treated. You have the classic symptoms.

Get treated and start your family.
