Anyone taking Skelaxin? Or is there a natural muscle relaxer?

My doctor gave me a script for Skelaxin for my muscle aches. Anyone taking it? I need some pros and cons. I'm very sensitive to meds so I haven't tried it yet. Does it really work to relieve tight muscles and aches. I do have myofascial knots. I'm also looking for some natural remedies.

    Thanks in advance,

Yes I have taken it in the past but didnt work for me as well as Soma as a muscle relaxer. i have lots of the myofascial lumps/knots and neither one helped those at all for me. Does help relax muscles like shoulders, neck, calves/lower legs but have not found anything much for the knots except massage and thats very painful, but if you can make it through the self massage for a few days mine always feels better.I use lidoderm patches also but they are very exspensive esp. if your ins.doesnt cover them. Good luck and God Bless

I too have taken it, but have not found it to be nearly as effective as Soma. It may work for you however if you haven't taken muscle relaxers before.
