anyone use methadone for chronic FM pain??

    Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the pain med. methadone?

    I switched to methadone about a year ago. I take the extended release version that lasts 12 hours and was taking oxycontin before that. It definitely works a bit differently for me. But it is a life saver in the sense that I could never live with the huge amount of pain I was in 24/7 for these past several years.

    As asked above, what would you like to know

    My Dr. prescribed methadone to me after I finally admitted I could not afford the meds previously prescribed because I lost my insurance when I became too disabled to work. Methadone is as effective as anything else for pain but very cheap. The only complaints I have are the nausea, and that it only reduces the pain and does not eliminates it. Oh well if something actually made this DD all better we would not need to keep talking lol .
