know of any pills that help you to sleep without waking you up 3 or 4 times per night?
Im so sick of constantly waking so many times in the night.
I can go to bed at 9pm & still wake up 3 or 4 times.
I havent had a good nights sleep for 12 years since my daughter was born.
My sleep pattern has always been erratic to say the least & when i go to my doctor he always prescribes sleeping pills for a couple of days.
We all know how doped up they make us feel.
Im so desperate to sleep through the night i just dont know how to do it.
I am grateful for any suggestions i really am.
Because im so tired im always bumping into things & i bruise very easily.
    Take care fibrolady37.

When I was having trouble like you it took a while to re-set my body clock.

It becomes a habit, waking up at around the same time several times a night.

    I take several things.

A muscle relaxer about 2 hrs. before bed.
    A valium about 2 to 5 mg.
And if still not sleepy, add 3mg melatonin,GABA(1,OO0 mg) or 5-HTP.

I don't alway's need al these at once, but most night's lately I do.

of course everyone has a different tolerance, so start with 1 thing and go from there.

    Here's to a good night's sleep.:)

Oh yeah, sometimes a little low glycemic carbs ( like whole grain cereal) can help, it raises seretonin.

Magnesium is great. Also see the post titled "New milk with melatonin". There are some suggestions there too. Also I take one Kava and one Gaba Calm before bed and I sleep much better than I used to. Also try reading before you go to bed. This may help you fall asleep more quickly.

    Hugs to you,

There is absolutely no doubt that either 2mg Valium or 5mg Amitryptiline help me to sleep through 6 hrs or so and help ease my pain.

I understand it helps to have nothing electronic in the room, nor anyone else, or pets! Have the room pitch dark. I just read too, that white walls are bad in a bedroom, best tom have a color.

    Well, Good luck.
