    Happy retirement to me.
    I got my disability.
    Happy retirement to meeeeee!!!!!!

I've applied for disability retirement under the Civil Service Retirement System(CSRS)since I'm a federal employee. I do not have Social Security.

I filed in Nov 2005 and was denied in April 2006 but I appeal and was just approved!

I filed with FM, CFS, inflammatory arthritis, and cervical and lumbrosacral degenerative disc disease.

I was only approved for FM and inflammatory arthritis.

I will now get interim pay until they finalize everything.
Once they do that I will get back pay to March 2005.

    I can't wait.

Money Money Money Money I going to have money!!!

    Ok I have gone crazy!!!!

I, too, am under the CSRS system - about 3 years until "regular" retirement for me.

I "just" have CFS, so don't know how much luck I'd have geting an early retirement. I'm just trying to hang in there, day to day, til that day I can retire too.

    Again, congratulations!

It must feel really good. I retired 3 months ago and it has made a difference for me.

    Thanks to everyone who replied.

It does feel good to be officially retired and not having to worry about finding money to pay the bills.

    Thanks again.
