I am wondering for those that have a B 12 deficiency, can it cause bone pain and popping of joints? I did not get my B 12 tested but it looks like a lot of people on this board are deficient.

I get B12 shots every 6 weeks and they do nothing for my pain, bone or muscle.

Thanks guys...so you have no pain in relation to your B 12 def? Just trying to get down to the bottom as to what is making my bones hurt so bad and joints crack every minute.

If you have an extreme b12 deficiency this can lead to a type of anemia. You need sufficient amounts of b12 in your system to help with red blood cells - so not enough b12 can lead to poor red blood cell production and then anemia.

Anemia can cause muscle aches, fatigue, headaches. I have not heard of bone pain or popping joints. It can't hurt to have a blood test that covers b12 levels, iron levels, and even your thyroid.

    best of luck,

    p.s. I have b12 injections monthly.
