I just found out the only FM specialist in my area passed away. I was hoping to go see him the first of the year. I work with a fellow FM sufferer who has beening seeing him for years. He is the ONLY person who ever helped her. She said she cried for two days when she heard. He was only 55. Hopefully my new primary doc will remain supportive and keep treating the FM.

What a loss for not only his family, but for all the patients who relied so much on his expertise. There are so few good FM specialists out there. I'm sorry for both you & your co-worker. Hopefully someone else will be able to fill the gap for his patients. At least you have a supportive primary doc, that's a plus.

    Hang in there!

    Hugs,
    Pam
