Hi Everyone: If I start to mention names I am sure going to miss someone and I don't want to do that.

Saw the pain guy today. They turned down my application for the Lyrica. They said it is because it is too expensive and that I haven't tried and proved that the gabapantin doesn't work. Gabapantin isn't covered. He said we could try and apply for funding but he said
    1. it wouldn't work
    2. it would be too sedating with the other meds I am on
    3. it would mean taking an extra 6 pills a day.

He said I was over the wall with pain when I arrived. He did a nerve block hoping it would give relief for 1-3 days. Well that lasted for 3 hrs.

I am devestated right now. But God does know what He is doing even though I don't get it.

I just wanted to thank you all for taking the time to pray for me re. this issue these past few months. You all are great. Thanks so much for hanging in with me.
Love and Blessings to each one.

I'm praying you get a miracle on some kind of medicine that works for your pain. I'm sorry all of this is happening to you and hate that they can't do anything to control your pain.

You know you're in my prayers and I'm sending you a big hug too!

I am here for you when ever you need a shoulder. I understand now that you did have the nerve block. I am so sorry that it didn't work for very long.

Jesus, please put your loving arms around Cath right now and comfort her as only You can. You have a plan for her life. Show her what to do now to move forward and to get relief from this pain. Father, you have the answers she needs. Please show her the way. Encourage her heart tonight.

    Love Ya,

I am so very sorry about this! And angry on your behalf. I will pray that something somehow turns up for you and gives you relief.

I have tears in my eyes knowing how hopeful you were about getting the Lyrica, my friend. I cannot believe this has happened to you and will say some extra prayers for you today. Talk about having a lot of 'splain' to do!

    (((((Caffey))))Big warm hugs.

    Love, Judy

Everyone for your kind words. They are really helping me get over the shock. Gabapantin costs about $140/mth plus he won't rx. it. The reasons are in my post. He said there are no other options at this time. Sucks but life goes on.
Pepper you are so sweet. I am already warning people that if they are behind us in the line to see the Lord when we get to Heaven to get comfy because they are going to be there for a while with our splainin list. lol.

Sorry to hear this, will pray God opens some doors for you with this, and you get the pain meds you need.

Don't give up, keep bugging those Dr. or insurance Co. remember, God can move the heart of Kings.

For some weird reason your post made me laugh. Something I needed today. I am not dealing with an insurance company. I am dealing with the Canadian government. There is no rhyme or reason why they do what they do. We often say it takes so long to get an answer from them or be turned down is any excuse. It is a sunny day, cloudy day, hot, warm, rainy, because I said so The strange thing it is a pharmacist who makes the decision and he has a novel or reports from neurologist, rheumatologist, pain specialist. What I don't get is why the government approves these drugs and then won't give it to you. NUF said. Anyways. Thanks.
