Summer time is when the kids are out of school and most parents are stuck trying to figure out what to do. Even in the summer we still get trapped in the constantly “on-the-go” culture of today’s society. This way of life makes for less time for adults and children to be active. Adults and kids are spending their down time in front of entertainment devices instead of getting outside and being active. Exercising does not always have to be boring. Going outside and playing games with your kids is a great way to start moving. If it is a very hot summer day, then go to a local pool or lake to get some fresh air. Starting kids on healthier habits now will help them stick to these habits for the rest of their lives.
