I have seen posts with suggestions for whom to use.

A friend in Michigan wants to begin the process. I will be helping her.

I think I've seen people urging FMers to use certain large attorney groups that are National; could someone remind me?

    Thanks for the help! Again...

dont know what the outcome is yet! not betting on anything first time though! the papers were easy they help you fill them out. The people at allsup are very nice and friendly i could not go through the stress of doing it myself and a lawyer takes more money if it is another appeal and another most of them anyway. I do not know if i will get it.
I have fibromyalgia for 12 years and migraines just in last two years. High blood pressure and chronic fatigue. My doctor wrote a letter and said i would never be able to work again because fibromyalgia is not curable. I know that is only one step i am 54 will be 55 in a month quit job in sep of last year. I also know we have a huge backlog in Ga. So we will see. I dont know the outcome yet so far so good. There have been others on here that have had good results.
    Hope that helps

I just started with Allsups. I returned the signed papers to give Allsup my information. I also got a lawyer for my STD & LTD. They are also in the same process. All this started on 9/24/08 with looking for a lawyer. Mind you that the lawyer said he will get all of the information first, but that did not mean he would take my case. At least I will have everything the ins co has on me and I can take that to another lawyer.

I wish us all the best!

I would also recommend Allsup. I won my case on my first try and from what I understand that is extremely rare. I cannot say enough good things about Allsup.

I used an advocate( Lynn Eggleton) who charged a nominal hourly rate.

She specialises in CFS & Fibro. Has Fibro herself.

She has a great track record in getting ppl approved.

Her contact no is listed on this site.

Much cheaper than an attorney or Allsup, because you're just paying an hourly rate.

Forgive me, but with webtv, I can't split pages to see who wrote what!

Thank you sooooo much! I knew I had heard a specific firm mentioned but for the life of me I couldn't remember what/who it was...

Now, I have applied for SSDI myself and won, and also for a Federal worker who got sick while on the job, and won for her, with my managing her disability file and writing a summary for the Federal disability board.

    Q. Does ALLSUP take both people with disability insurance (std and ltd types) AND SSDI, thru Social Security?

    Q. How does one get in touch with ALLSUP? Online? Telephone?

Y'all are great! Thank you very much for your energy...

    Hugs galore,
