    HI there,
Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best book they have read on this illness. There are so many out there and I've such little energy.....

I would agree that Teitlebaum's FROM FATIGUED TO FANTASTIC is probably the most comprehensive and helpful in hitting all areas of CFS.

I have also found Dr. Majid Ali's THE CANARY AND CHRONIC FATIGUE (1993?) and Gerald Poesnecker's CHRONIC FATIGUE UNMASKED, 2000, to be helpful. Your local library can obtain them through interlibrary loan, or you can find copies to buy online.

As far as the history and politics of the illness, OSLER'S WEB is the best, but it's very long and I haven't tackled it yet.

What Your Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You, by Dr. Ray Strand. Doctor's are trained to treat disease with drugs. But they are not trained in the most powerful tool for your health.

Turbo charge your body's natural healing power

Why your cholesterol level is NOT the key to protecting you from heart disease

What medical evidence really indicates about the root cause of cancer, diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer's, fibromyalgia, and many other diseases

Start your ant-aging strategy now and protect yourself against the dark-side of oxygen

Sadly, by the time you are diagnosed with a disease, you may already be missing out on the healthy, vibrant life you deserve. Now, this revolutionary new book by Ray Strand, MD shows you simple steps you can take to protect your health both now and well into the future - and even to reverse the damage and disease that may already be present.

What Your Doctor Doesn't Know about Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You will teach you...

Why the governments daily recomended daily allowances (RDA) of key nutrients aren't equipping your body's natural defenses to protect you from disease - and what amounts you do need.
How the breakdown of oxygen inside your body is wreaking havoc - and what you cam do to repair the damage
How you can fight back against allergies and constant sinus infections
Why the drugs your doctor can prescribe are not your best defense against chronic degenerative diseases.
Drawing on extensive research culled from over 1,300 clinical studies in well-known medical journals, Dr Strand illuminates the critical role that nutritional medicine plays in slowing the aging process and reclaiming health, even after the devastation of illness such as

    Heart Disease
    Chronic Fatigue
    Multiple Sclerosis
    and many other diseases

I will look into them - thanks!
Imagine if doctors read these books instead of just the people who have this DD maybe we'd be further along???

Adrenal Fatigue in the 21st Century by Dr. James Wilson. It has a lot of ideas for tackling exhaustion and natural protocols to follow. Very informative reading.

For those with little energy, I recommend using the index.

This book covers the history of this DD, the key players, organizations, SSA, CDC etc.

When you read this book you can perhaps better understand the current situation and see for yourself what has happened in the past 20 years regarding this DD. It's hard to get excited about anything new when you've heard it all before, over & over to no avail.
