I don't know about the rest of the mid-west, but we have survived the blizzard here in central Iowa. Parts of the state got hit a lot harder then we did though. We got about 6 inches of snow and wind gusts into the upper 50 mph range. Snow drifts are an easy 2 to 3 feet here. In northwest iowa they got as much as 18 inches of snow and 10 foot drifts. I don't know if there will be any pictures today or not. Almost every major road in the state is still closed.

HOw about everyone else in the path of the storm. Both the blizzard and the tornadoes. let everyone know you are OK.

    out there!

Got an e mail from my sister in Rochester, MN. She said they had 9 inches of snow yesterday. The courthouse shut down; she got off work at noon.

My aunt in the same city wrote. She said they had TEN inches of snow yesterday on top of what they already had!

Of course it's not so bad IF you don't have to out and IF your power doesn't go out. Brrrrrrrrr!
