The pain clinic dr. ordered a full body bone scan for me on Monday.

What do I have to look forward to?

    Thank you for any help.

I have never had one but Web MD has a great article which describes every step in detail for patients. I hope it helps you a little.

It is no big deal at all. No pain, except of course when they start the IV (hurt a little). Then they inject some nuclear med. in to the IV.Wait 30 mins to 1 hr. Then they have you lay on a table. They scan you from head to toe. Almost like a MRI, just no where near as closed in. Then IV out, go home and drink alot of water and flush it out.

I appreciate the info and responses. That doesn't sound too bad at all.

    Best to you.
