Are you referring to Eric Hoffer's book?? If so, that

small book that I read over 40 yrs. ago influenced my

Political thinking and my life more than any piece since!

However, there is another book out recently with a

similar title, you may be speaking of it? I believe

Hoffer's book is "The True Believer". (???) Bought a

Copy for my son as a Xmas stocking stuffer. He enjoyed

    it much.

    Have a good weekend!!

No; the book-of-the-month was Nicholas Sparks's novel, TRUE BELIEVER, a title that one of our members suggested we all read this month.

Funny, though; the Hoffer book rings a bell.

Eric Hoffer< I'm sure you will remember, was the Longshoreman Philosopher who worked during the 30"s under Harry Bridges. He only a had 6th Grade education but is considered one of the foremost American Philosophers of the 20th Cent.

In his latter years, he was a guest teacher at SAN Francisco State College in the Philosophy Dept. Interesting
    and intellegent man!!

Their is another book out recently, the Arrogance of Power which may also be confused with J.William Fulbright's timely book of the sixties. We just must be running out of good titles, I guess.

    Have a relaxing weekend,
