(See my post below--we have a tie)

Anyone who wants to join us is always welcome! We read a book each month and then post on it during the last week of the month.

    Here are the contenders:

    1. The Prince of West End, by Alan Isler
    2. Empire of Ice Cream, by Jeffrey Ford (collection of short stories)
    3. The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, by Jane Wagner
    4. Basket Case, by Carl Hiaasen
    5. Fairest, by Gail Carson Levine

See the suggestion post or Amazon for info. on the books.

twice, Carla, if you live in Florida.

I read the Jane Wagner piece. Didn't think it was very funny. I think you need to see Lily Tomlin do it on stage to get the full effect.

I vote for the Carl Hiaasen book. Nothing beats a bunch of crooks getting chased thru a swamp by the Keystone Kops.

This was posted two times! That's why Rockgor couldn't find his post like he said on the other one!

We are all going to be confused!!! (more so than usual lol)

    OK here is my vote.

    #1 Prince of West End

    #2 Fairest

Good grief. A bit out of it today, I guess.

Did you think you were seeing double? :)

    Good one about Florida, Rockgor!

Actually, I like the idea of voting twice, for your first and second choice.

I'm a third of the way through a book at present, and I suspect it will take me the rest of the month to finish it.

I'll leave the voting to others.

The Jane Wagner sounds interesting. Use my vote to vote for any of these. Sorry I have been off, been sick, still sick. Annie

Like several others I don't care what we read. I've been striking out lately so I'd better no vote. I'll have to order it anyway.
