    Hello new friends,

I am a newbie with a question. I have RA and Raynauds. I am currently pregnant with our 9th child. I am curious as to whether bromelain can be safely used during pregnancy. I have read that there can be trouble when extracts from green pineapples are used, can be an abortifaceant.

I'm having some hypercoagulation issues that are flaring with this pregnancy. Any input would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the board, and congratulations on the eagerly anticipated new arrival. I recommend that pregnant patients clear ANY drugs/supplements with their personal physician. I strongly encourage it at all times, but the doctor who's caring for you and your baby needs to be aware of anything and everything you might be taking - preferably BEFORE you consider taking it.

Best wishes to you and your family. We'll be happy to talk about what you might do to improve your health after the new bundle of joy has been welcomed into your home.
