My pain specialist has recommended this procedure for me. I have had chronic pain in my lower back for a very looong time and I've tried just about everything. If anyone has had this procedure done I would love to hear from you(how its done, how long it last, does it affect your bladder or colon). Just tell me all you can about how it has helped or not helped. Any info would be appreciated.

Have you been to a chiropractor who is also trained in nutrition and wellness? And have you had all of your mineral levels checked, especially Manganese?

I have had my nerves burned, and I don't recommend it. Not only did it not help my pain one iota, it created a burning sensation that has not gone away [several years now!] The doctors say nothing can be done for this residual pain, and now I have to live with it. Please be careful, I personally think doctors are still "Practicing!" :]

I had this procedure called "Radiofrequency Nerve Ablation" done on my neck and it was a nightmare. It intensifed the pain and I couldn't even take a shower or even touch the back of my head where they burned the nerves. It causes a lot of muscle damage and maybe it is different for lower back but I would never -- ever --- recommend this procedure to anyone!

If you would like to find out more conversation on this topic you could use the search button and use the word ablation as your topic. I believe this brought up many threads about this prodcedure and how it is affected other people.

    Good Luck!
