I've had fibro and many other ailments for over 10 years now. I have tried all the fibro drugs on the market along with many pain killers. Nothing has ever worked until my pain specialist put me on Butrans. I went from 5mg to 10 then 20 mg. You wear the patch for 7 days and it dispenses 20 mg per hour.

It has worked wonders for me. Only thing is my insurance won't cover it and its costing me $351.00 a month for 4 patches. I'm disputing with my insurance and hopefully will get reimbersed.

Was wondering if anyone else is on this and has it helped you?

I'm on the Butrans patch and it helps with my SI joint pain (from an accident). But, my GP is a nervous nelly and let me go up to 10 mg, but then asked me to go down to 5 mg. I'm supplementing it with Ultram.

I still felt a lot of pain, but it was as distressing, if that makes sense.
