Dear sufferers.I am 29 years of age and for the last 20 months I have been battling an illness which has nearly driven me to the brink of madness.I cannot work out what is wrong with me nad would be really grateful if anyone could read me symptoms and help me diagnose the illness.
20 months ago I began feeling tired and nauseas. This got progressively worse and after 3 months I was chronically tired, nauseas and I had an aching body, dizzy nad a headache. I couldn't drive for longer than 30 minutes ( I used to drive without any problems for hours) and I would find it difficult to think and get words mixed up.( I feel worse after sleep....I used to jump out of bed)
This lasted for over a year and although I feel a little better ( not so nauseas) I still feel achey and as if my body is poisoned.I don't have sore throats but could this be chronic fatigue. Please help.I'm really at the end of my tether. Thankyou all.

As much as we here can tell you our thoughts and feelings about what you are sufferring with, the only one that can TRULY tell you is the doctor. It does sound like FM/CFS symptoms but if you diagnose yourself and are wrong, you could be risking your life.

I sincerely hope that you DO NOT have these illnesses but I want to welcome you here and say COME BACK any time and all the time.

I just wanted to welcome you to the board. You have gotten very good advice above so I won't be repetitive.
I have a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (I do not have sore throats). I experience all the symptoms you have listed, plus some. It is certainly possible that you may have CFS. CFS is diagnosed after excluding other possibilities.
There is a Good Doctor lists here, for Fibro and CFS Specialists. Go to Doctor Referral at the top of this page, and then on the next page, Co Cures Good Doctor List. Perhaps you can find a Doctor in your area. Be advised that not all Doctors believe in Fibro and CFS, so it behooves you to find one who specializes and is willing to treat, before you go blindly stabbing, wasting time and money. Another good way to find a Specialist is to type
    "Chronic Fatigue Specialist <your state>"
in one of the internet search engines. You will get many "hits", and will have to weed through them. Sometimes you will have to make quite a drive depending on how populated the area you live in.
    Best wishes, and welcome!

The only way to find out is to go through all the testing. CFIDS is a dx of elimination. It's important to eliminate other illnesses which mimic ours.
