Can hitting a tender point trigger a flare????

Been flare free for about a month or so, however, I was mowing the yard Saturday on my riding mower which I really enjoy doing. Unfortunately while going around the Magnolia tree I rammed into a limb that had been broken off. It managed to hit a tender point dead center with all the force of me and my riding mower in 3rd gear ramming full into it. I nearly fell off the mower!! I managed to finish up as I only had one more row to do. I got in the house and about 10 minutes later was flat on the couch in PAIN. I ached all over and could barely move. I have felt awful ever since. There is a nice bruise on my arm and now I feel like I am in a full flare.

So, could hitting the pressure point have triggered the flare????

In fact, the last time I visited my doctor I refused to let him touch mine because the last time he did, I flared for several months.

I have a great fms doc (his wife has fms so he knows all about it), but there are limits on what I will let him do.
