Since Sept of last year I have had pain in my joints and feet. Hands, wrist, knees, ankles, shoulders, but not at the same time. The pain seemed to travel from one joint to the next, from one side to the other.Soon the pain became unbearable and I went to the doctor who ran blood test on me from hepititas to diabetes to stds and different type of arthritis.Everything came back normal. I was given NSAIDS for the inflamation and pain.Took 3 different kinds that did not work.He sent me to a specialist who said I had tendenidist(wrong spelling). He gave me another NSAID,Indocen.Worked for a couple of days but I had to increase the dosage to keep pain to dull roar. Back to my doctor who is stumped. I am now on indocen, vicadin and prozac.I also have the white tongue. Don't know what the next step is. I mentioned FM to my doctor and he kind of dismissed it. I am a garbage man and this is really brutal on a daily basis. But I do feel relief knowing I'm not alone

The next step should be to see a Rheumatologist to see if you really do have Fibromyalgia. If your primary doctor dismissed your concerns, then he/she is not the one to go to for this. NSAIDS don't do much at all to help Fibro. You need someone who knows what they're doing. Not all Rheumies are good either. You can check the good doctor list here to see if there is one near you, or call FM Network at 1-800-853-2929, since they have an extensive list of docs recommended by the patients all over the country. If you do have some tendonitis, a Rheumy is the best doc for that also. Physical Therapy can sometimes do wonders for tendonitis, and sometimes it requires cortisone shots. I don't want to bum you out, but if you do have Fibro, being a garbage man is about one of the worst jobs you could have. I lost my career because it required repetitve movement with the same muscle groups over and over, and what you do seems to be the same sort of thing, only with loads of extra exertion and extreme weather exposure added into the mix. I truly hope you do not have Fibro. Please come back and get support here if you do, and may God Bless you,

Hi Jojo, welcome to the board. I am sure sorry to hear you are having so much trouble getting diagnosed. But if you do have Fibromyalgia, thats mostly how it goes.

Your employment and FM sure won't go together. My husband was a heavy equiptment mechanic, and I do know that he would have never been able to do that kind of work, or what he does now (Chief Engineer on a Barge), if he had what I have!

You try the phone number that Klutzo gave you, hopefully you find a doctor that will be able to get to whatever it is that is wrong with you. I sincerely hope it is not FM, but something that can be cure quickly.

Take care, and please let us know how you are doing.

    Again, welcome to the board.

    Shalom, Shirl

I have a couple of questions for you:

Do you have frequent trouble with eye irritations or broken blood vessels in your eyes?

In your foot pain, have you been told you have bone spurs in your heels or plantar faciitis?
