Hello, I am new to the group but glad to be a part of it. I live in Northern Indiana, in Ft. Wayne and can't seem to find any medical help with my symptoms. I have a regular physcian who is very good but does not truly believe in CFS and I don't know where to turn as there also seem to be no support groups here. I seem to have going chronic upper respiratory symptoms, gland tenderness and fatigue but all my tests seem to fall in the normal range despite my symptoms. Needless to say I am frustrated and am sure some suspect I am a hypochrondriac except I know(and my family knows) that what I experience physcially is real. If anyone has any ideas or knows of a physcian in this area I would dearly appreciate hearing from you.....I wish you all better health and a peace filled holiday. Sincerely yours, Teddifromindy

I became very ill shortly after moving to Ft. Wayne and had a terrible time finding any doctor to treat me. Went to an infectious disease specialist who was no help at all. I did go to a rheumatologist, Dr. Ko who was helpful and understanding. You will need to get a referral from your primary doctor before you can get an appointment.

I know of one other person in Fort Wayne who also has CFS,
perhaps the three of us could get together . . .
Give me a call after Christmas. I'm in the phone book
my last name starts with Ehrl and my street starts with River.

Another thought: In the past I have found lymphatic massage helpful. I haven't had the money to do it here but I found a massage therapist who can do it at the Center for Vital Living 436-8807.

    Have a peaceful holiday.
Look forward to hearing from you,

    Anne

Hi Teddi! I live by Indianapolis. Why not call IU Medical Center in Indy? Maybe they can refer you to someone. They're the biggest hospital around and have wonderful doctors! Good luck. I know it's hard to feel lousy, especially at this time of year. I also wish you good health and a pain-free holiday!
