Carpel Tunnel or Fibro, or both....Im falling apart

I have terrible pain in the base of my thumb I can barely pick anyhting up and I sit around holding it! It's in the second nuckel the one closest to the bottom of the thumb! I recently switched my medication from Lexapro to Cymbalta and I was wondering if that might be the problem, everything seems to be more enflamed, my spine, my head, and my hands! My head feels like it's full of concrete.

    Okay enough whinning for now!
    Thanks for listening (er,a reading)!

Kelly, look up DeQuervan's Syndrome. I'll bet that's what you have. I have it too. Call your doctor about it. Mine gave me something for inflamation and told me to get a splint. The splint goes over my hand and wrist and it has a brace for your thumb to keep it in a neutral position. It hurts like the devil. My sympathies to you. Do you get many tendon and muscle inflamations? If so, you might have Ehlers Danlos...hypermoblilty causes problems and pain.
