A few questions for the more knowledgeable cfs/fm victims. in 1997 I recieved a series of hepatitis b vaccinations. Due to my occupation as a police officer I thought it would be a good idea to protect myself from the possible exposure to this disease. Aproximately six month after the third innoculation, i began to feel symtoms including pain without swelling centering around areas of lymph node clusters(armpits, neck and behind knees)i also began having low grade fever at night and a difficulty in swallowing. a short stint in the hospital followed up by several visits to my pcp and ent specialist could find no problem or abnormalities. Since then I have been given the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. In the years to follow I began experiencing frequent muscle twitching, migratory joint and muscle pains without swelling or redness, visual disturbances (diplopia) when tired, dysphagia, coated tongue and pins and needle sensations, acid reflux disease and occasional lymph node pain (no swelling) I could accept the diagnosis of fibro but do not experience any of the called for tender spots. the cdc definition of cfs does not fit due to the fact that I would clasify my fatigue as mild and not causing a 50 percent reduction in activity. lyme, lupus and other metabolic conditions have been tested and ruled out. My question is, does this sound familiar to any of you out there. if so please respond. I also plan to have M.S. or any other nerve demlylination disease ruled out in the futer. I really believe that this is all due to the hep.b vaccination.
