Hi all, I have a question for you. I have been sick for three months and am seeing a Chronic Fatigue Specialist since my diagnosis. I have high titres for Epstein-Barr, but also an active infection of HHV6 with viral DNA in high concentration in my blood. These of course are both viruses that cause chronic fatigue syndrome in some instances. My question is this, all of my symptoms are gradually going away. Some have almost totally disappeared. My dizziness is mostly gone, my headaches are rare, I don't have any brain fog at all, and my tiredness is almost non-existent anymore. However, my body still won't work. At all. I've been bedridden since Dec 24. I have strength but absolutely no endurance. Some days I'll feel good and will walk to the kitchen, but when I do a couple of hours later I'm in total agony with my body so depleted of energy I'm shaking and feel like a thousand pounds. Today I tried to sit up for a while and felt fine. But an hour later after trying I was in misery, shaking again and completely weak. How can it be that all these other symptoms are going away, but I feel the weakness is only increasing in severity? I spend days doing nothing but laying here sometimes only to feel a small amount of energy. I try to reserve it as long as possible. Eventually I do something "crazy" like trying to sit up and whamo, all is lost and then back to square one. How will I ever get out of this cycle and why is this severe weakness not resolving when everything else has?? It may not matter, but I'm female. And in my 30s.
