Has anyone experienced this? I can't taste sweet anymore and I have a constant strange taste in my mouth. It tastes like soap, I guess, kinda hard to describe it. I have dental cleanings every 6 months (so that's not it), I don't have a cold, what IS it? My coffee isn't worth drinking anymore. Yuk.

Well thank God I'm not the only one! I googled and there are a few reasons for losing taste....nerve damage or diabetes. I didn't read anything about acidity related to FMS. I don't doubt you...I just wish it was easy to find out why something changes! For MONTHS now, I've been switching brands of coffee, switching sweetners and finally back to sugar, switching toothpastes without thinking much about it, and then it dawned on's not going away. Another symptom!

My sister has Sjogren's Syndrome and this is common with it. But I don't think I have a dry mouth or dang!!!!

    So confusing.....

Yes, I have found that I always have a strange taste in my mouth. I thought it was because I swiched to Splenda in my tea. I also noticed that I have a very dry mouth, maybe it is from the drugs we take is my thought.

In another comment someone said they get blisters in their mouth. YEAH! when I drink pop/cola it feels like I have road rash on my toung.

No, I'm not taking Topomax. I only take Pristiq daily, occasional Tramadol and occasional Flexeril.

Today doesn't seem so bad so far. I wonder why it everything else with FMS.
