does anybody know about the effects of chlorine in drinking water? I have recently found a source of bottled water in bulk - therefore cheap - which is "microfiltered and UV treated" Does this remove the chlorine and anyway should I worry about it?

This message board is a great help to me out here in India - I wonder how many other countries are represented?

I just think the chlorine would kill the good bacteria in the gut. That is why people may get the diarrhea when they are on antibiotics and need to eat yogurt or take a probiotic, to replace the good stuff. I also read that if you keep a container of tap water in the refrigetator with the lid off, the chlorine is evaporated. I don't know if that is true. I prefer bottled or filtered water.
